About PubTrees

This is an instance of the Word Tree Visualization technique pioneered by Martin Wattenberg and Fernanda B. Viégas. It is used in this case to graph the text of titles and abstracts resulting from a search of PubMed.

Technology and Credits

This application is a wrapper of the Google Charts Word Trees implementation with a soupçon of JavaScript/jQuery to hold it together.

PubMed is queried and results are retrieved using the National Center for Biotechnology Information's publicly accessible E-utilities API.

Responsive design made less painful with Bootstrap.
